Below is a copy from a great article written about me by SVP (Social Venture Partners). I hope this little insight entertains you as you get to know me a little more!

Nancy likes to say that she was bored with being on nonprofit boards, so the active philanthropy offered by SVP really appealed to her. She is one of our founding partners, drawn to SVP partially because many of her friends were partners – she wondered what they were up to. Nancy also has a passion for leveraging her business and personal experience in a meaningful way to benefit the community – a perfect fit with the goals of SVP! Nancy is what we like to call a “super” partner, currently serving on our Advisory Committee, co-chairing the Partner Recruitment Committee and participating in nearly all of our education sessions and other partner activities. She earned some extra credit this year by supervising a busload of teenagers on their way to the Anytown youth development program of our investees, Community Tampa Bay.

A native of New York, Nancy has been in Tampa over 30 years and has spent most of her career in the commercial real estate business. Her business, aptly named Nancy Phaneuf Commercial Realty & Development, focuses on closely held companies that require office or warehouse space for lease, sale or investment. NPCRD celebrated its 20th year in 2015.

When not working, Nancy is often travelling to Chicago and New York City to visit her daughters, Catherine and Taylor, who she is proud to say are both graduates of the University of Florida. The three Phaneuf’s enjoy traveling and have globe-trotted to England, Spain and Italy together.

Ms. Phaneuf is fond of the arts and enjoys the budding local music scene and events at all of the bay area venues. Her sense of adventure includes finding holes in the wall featuring the variety of cuisines now found in Tampa: Columbian, Korean and even Peruvian fare. Enjoying all of these foods requires additional effort in the exercise department. Luckily, Nancy loves being outside and you can find her kayaking, camping, rollerblading, golfing, and bike riding or playing an occasional game of tennis. Her most favorite pastime is having friends over around her fire pit; as long as the temperature is less than 80 degrees, you can count on a fire! Perhaps a partner meeting at Nancy’s is in order for the fall?
