This site was sold to Riverside Heights Holdings, a holding company for a larger development firm that is planning to redevelop the waterfront and neighboring site for office/mixed uses. This lot was the gateway site into the project, the throughfare most likely to be used by motorists coming through Downtown Tampa. Accordingly, it was critical that RHH control this parcel. As of this writing, RHH has yet to develop this site, but is actively renovating the old trolley barn into a mixed use building.
Ulele Restaurant, owned and operated by the Columbia Restaurant Group, will open later this month, August, 2014, and anchor the redevelopment of this new frontier north of Downtown Tampa.
