Monday, February 16, 2015, was a red letter day! Wedges for Wishes netted over $100,000 to grant 14 wishes to children in the Tampa Bay area. It was a perfect golfing day, with bright sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 70’s.  Nearly 120 golfers from companies near and far participated in the event.

MicroLumen was the presenting sponsor for the third year and Brandon Day did a spectacular job generating excitement for the event.

I sponsored the Drive with the Pro, Bobby Bradley. In fact, I was on the fairway marking the well hit ball for each foursome. Surprisingly, each player that came through asked what kind of golf ball he used. Titlest XLDistance, of course. I’d say Bobby averaged 325 on the drives with spectacular consistency.

The best part of the day was seeing Abbie Grace, the wish child for the event, cultivate raffle ticket sales. Who could resist this darling?

The mission of Make-A-Wish International is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Mission accomplished.
